leaving

So that wonderful moment has arrived....   A weekend of packing a capsule wardrobe for 6 months of island living!

First a flight to one of my favourite places, Cape Town with an overnight stay at the V&A Waterfront; followed by a 5 day cruise to the island of St Helena where my family are eagerly awaiting my arrival.  

I am filled with so many emotions; happy to be spending 6 months with my parents but also sad to say goodbye to the love of my life.

The journey itself will be unique and I hope to share this with you in a few weeks...........


All my life I wondered what it would be like to just leave everyone and everything I knew behind me. To just pack a single bag and take off with no specific destination in mind. Where would I go? What would I do? Who could I be? The infinite possibilities swirled around in my mind making my palms sweat in anticipation. The road stretched out before me, beckoning me to do what I'd only ever dreamt about. My heart pounded in my ears as I took the first step towards living that daring life.
